The ARTES Workshop "how to write good proposals for ARTS" was held yesterday at Pavilhão do Conhecimento da Ciência Viva, in Lisbon. The workshop was organized by the European Space Agency's (ESA) Program's Ambassador of the Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems (ARTES). It was aimed at the Space community and Portuguese companies working space assets with applications on Earth.
We had the presence of the European Space Agency (ESA) represented by Norbert Huebner, who spoke on the subject in question. The various participants have the opportunity to have face-to-face discussions with Norbert Huebner to present ideas for ESA ARTES projects.
There were interventions by Emir Sirage from the FCT Space Office, Fernando Guerra from ANACOM, national delegate to the ARTES program, and Carlos Cerqueira from the Pedro Nunes Institute.
During the event, the Small ARTES Open Call Financing Program was also presented. This initiative aims to encourage companies to submit their proposals for practical and terrestrial applications of space technology such as communications or satellite navigation, earth observation and technology used in manned spaceflight. The selected proposals can benefit from a financing of up to 25 thousand euros, not being restricted to Portuguese beneficiaries.
