The ESA Space Solutions Portugal was present at the EBEC Challenge Coimbra on March 4, 5 and 6.

The Coimbra EBEC is a 24-hour competition, completely free and open to all FCTUC students.

The ESA SSP participated in the Innovative Design Category, a practical challenge where participants must combine their creativity and knowledge to develop new technological designs or improve existing ones. The project must have technical, social, environmental and economic impact.

The Local Round EBEC is an event organised by a local BEST group (BEST Coimbra) and corresponds to the first phase of the European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC). BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) is a non-profit, apolitical and non-governmental organization, whose main goal is to develop students of science and technology across Europe. BEST Coimbra is the local BEST group of the University of Coimbra, active since 1992 in the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra (FCTUC). Throughout the academic year it holds several events, such as engineering competitions, job fairs and workshops for FCTUC students, as well as BEST Courses attended by students from all over Europe.
